Bangkok Gay Bars & Clubs

Bangkok’s main gay nightlife scene is located in Silom area, on or near these streets – Silom Soi 4, Soi 2 or Soi 2/1.

Silom Soi 4

Bangkok’s gayest street, with many gay bars and restaurants

Silom Soi 2

small alley that houses the popular DJ Station and several late-night bars

Silom Soi 2/1

the destination for late party-goers; home of G.O.D dance club

Soi Twilight

the gay 'red light district' of Bangkok, with many go-go bars

Silom Soi 4

Soi 4  is the place to see and be seen.  Confidently strut your stuff along the street, choose a bar and find a table with the best viewing position.  Unless you are eating, the best entrances are made around 10pm.  All the bars offer an ‘at seat’ waiter service.  Pay when you are ready to leave.  Nearest BTS station is Sala Daeng (Silom Line – S2). Nearest MRT Station is Si Lom.

Possibly the most famous gay bar in Bangkok, and also one of the oldest.  Telephone Pub & Restaurant (aka Telephone Bar) has been serving drinks and good food since 1987.

Originally, each table had its own telephone from which customers were able to call another table.  Of course, things have changed since then.  Free WiFi is available to customers.

This is a gay-popular hangout for a drink or a bite to eat before heading off to the clubs.  Telephone also features a karaoke lounge on the 3rd floor, equipped with huge video screens and thousands of songs choices.  A private karaoke room is available for rent.

Features: bar, music, karaoke, restaurant, internet access, free wi-fi (酒吧, 音乐, 卡拉OK, 餐厅, 互联网, 免费无线上网) | Updated: 06-04-2014

Weekday opening times: Generally 18.00 - 02.00

Weekend opening times: Generally 18.00 - 02.00

Audience Rating: 3.3 stars from 4 votes - Click to vote

Soi Twilight (or to give the street its correct name – Soi Pratuchai) is a gay ‘red light’ entertainment street, located off Surawong Road (almost directly opposite to Patpong).  The street is home to a number of go-go dance bars that cater almost exclusively to foreign tourists and is a very different experience from Soi 2 or Soi 4 in Silom.

Go-go dancer bars have shows every hour or so, that can be fun to watch – if not taken too seriously.  The content can range from erotic dancing to routines that leave only a little to the imagination.

In host bars, you pay for the company of a guy by purchasing both yourself and him a drink and then tipping him when you leave.
