Set on a 9,000 square meters area, the Olympic Club at Pathumwan Princess attracts a large number of gay members.  Reasonable range of gym/cardio equipment, steam room and sauna, together with nice hotel pool and terrace access.  The club also has two international standard tennis courts, two indoor squash courts with adjustable room temperatures, badminton court, basketball, table tennis and a 400-metre jogging track.  Gym (and sauna) gets busier around 5pm in the evenings.  Daily (around 600 baht) and one monthly (around 5,000 baht) memberships available.  Price includes towels and locker.

California WOW fitness center used to operate several locations until most have been shut down.  The Esplanade location is only remaining branch in Bangkok.  The gym attracts a mixed crowd although the majority are gay.  Yoga and spinning classes are offered.  Sauna facilities and lockers are provided, but you must bring your own lock.  Avoid after-work hours from 5pm – 8pm.  Short-term membership available.  Located inside The Esplanade shopping center.  MRT – Thailand Cultural Center

This one is for the serious gym bunny.  The Cascade Club at Ascott hotel is quite possibly one of the best-equipped and well-maintained gyms anywhere in Asia.  Nice pool and terrace as well.  Premium membership prices, together with its slightly less convenient location on Sathorn means this gym never gets too busy.  Daily and short-term membership available.

The gay sauna Babylon has a relatively small but reasonably well-equipped gym.  If you are planning to use the gym, bring your kit and trainers as trying to work out in just a towel is difficult.

The world’s largest fitness club group, Fitness First has 20 branches in Thailand located in leading shopping department stores and business buildings throughout Bangkok.  The Q House Lumpini location is perhaps most frequented by gay crowds.  Located in a high-end office building, the club has a wide range of equipment and all the other top-of-the-line exercise facilities.  Personal training is available as well as Pilates and yoga classes.  Many of the club’s treadmills are on the mezzanine level which has a nice view of Bangkok.  Short-term membership costs 335 per day.  Should you need more “workout”, you could walk to Babylon which is close by.
