It is no big secret that the maze of corridors, darkened steam room, sauna, plunge pool and numerous private cabins make Babylon the biggest gay attraction in the city.

But what makes Babylon really stand out is the range and quality of the services and facilities on offer.  You can top up your tan on the sun terrace, practice your breast stroke in the pool, pump up in the well-equipped gym, enjoy a meal at the surprisingly good restaurant, down a cocktail or two in the comfortable bar areas, or simply unwind in the capable hands of an expert masseur.
So, while we all know what will be on the minds of most of its patrons, it is also possible for a monogamous couple to enjoy Babylon’s relaxed 100% gay environment just as much as anyone.

Many customers walk around bare feet, but we recommend bringing your own flip-flops (and gym gear if you want to use the gym).  Otherwise, virtually everyone wears just a towel (provided).

Lockers, stocked with free condoms and lube, and locks are provided.  Bring cash but leave other valuables at your hotel.  If you bring valuables, we recommend leaving them in one of the security boxes located on the wall just after reception rather than your locker in the changing room.

Babylon gets busiest on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 4pm onwards. During public bank holidays, Babylon can fill up very quickly, after which entry is on a ‘one in one out’ basis.  MRT – Lumphini.

The closest sauna to the bars and clubs in Silom.  The venue is split over 5 levels with all the usual facilities including a small gym and a rooftop terrace.  Some areas are very dimly lit, and the stairs are steep so be careful!  Mania stays open late but peak hours are on weekdays after work and on the weekend after the bars have closed.  More frequented by locals although foreigners are equally welcome.  BTS – Sala Daeng.  Walk down Convent Road and turn right on Soi Phipat 2.

Bangkok10 is a relatively new, stylish sauna with more than 8000 sq ft of carefully designed space for men to play.  Facilities include sauna, steam room, hot pool, maze, bar, movie theatre and karaoke room.  Attracts mostly bears and chubs.  Even if you’re not there to cruise, you can sit and relax on the rooftop terrace which is the highlight of this place.  Open daily until midnight.  MRT – Hualumphong Station (ten-minute walk).  As of 8th September 2012 Bangkok 10′s web site is not working – however we can confirm that the Sauna is still operating normally.

Men Factory is a gay sauna that is located in Silom next to the nightclub G Bangkok.  Regular ‘naked’ events on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.  Busiest on Sunday evenings from 9pm to midnight although generally speaking, this sauna has yet to build up a big following.  Men Factory stays open until 6am and it can catch a few of the guys who want to carry on a little longer after G Bangkok closes.
