Despite Jakarta being a city with a population of nearly 10 million, the gay scene is relatively small and fairly discreet. Nonetheless, there is still plenty of fun to be had. Here are some of the main gay and gay-friendly venues.

If you are looking for very long night dancing to progressive hard core house music, then head for Stadium.  This dance club is huge even by international standards and features one of the largest dance floors in Asia.  This particular dance floor is just one of four in this huge building that has a 5000 capacity.

Stadium attracts a mixed young crowd who don’t care whether you are gay or straight.  As with all large venues, take precautions with valuables or better still, leave them in your hotel safe.
