Hip designer hotel in the heart of Ximen gay district.  The Inhouse offers 60 spacious guestrooms (from 21 to 50 square meters), all fitted with cable flat screen TV, iPod/iPhone docking station, minibar, luxury en suite bathroom with L’Occitane toiletries and more.  Its interior design is reminiscent of the famous Taiwanese Red House Theatre from the old days with vibrant colours and luminescent lighting.  There is an onsite café and restaurant that serves Western and Chinese dishes.

The Inhouse is located a 5-minute walk from Ximen MRT station, with surrounding night markets just outside the hotel door.  Excellent value for money and a good location for both G5 parties and the Red House.

Great value for money option if you want to be close to the gay scene in and around the Ximen.  The hotel is just moments away from the MRT station.  There is also a huge choice of places to eat close to the hotel.

The name of the hotel is a reference to its styling which is loosely themed on the interior of an airplane (including airline style seats in the guestrooms). Quirky styling aside,  this newly opened hotel (2012) offers reasonably spacious, modern and comfortable rooms.  Free WiFi.

The Burgary offers stylish, almost opulent guest suites decorated with golds and silvers, blacks and whites with room features that include flat screen TVs and jacuzzi baths.  Most of the rooms offer great views of Katagalan Boulevard and Taipei 101.  Great location for all the Ximen gay venues and good value for money.  Just make sure you pronounce the name of the hotel correctly.

Great value hotel with no frills in excellent location for the gay scene in Ximen.  The popular Red House is just a few blocks away.  Via Hotel features very comfortable beds and super clean rooms.  WiFi is free.  Pickup from the airport can be arranged.  The staff are professional and friendly.  The hotel is close to 7Eleven and many dining options.  What more could you ask for?

A good value for money hotel offering comfortable, traditional Chinese-styled guestrooms.  The rooms are relatively small, but feature an LCD TV, DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi.  The friendly and helpful staff are fluent in both English and Japanese.  A complimentary breakfast is provided for guests.  The Rich Garden is just a few minutes’ walk from all the gay venues in and around Ximen including the Red House.  Great for a short stay.

Great choice if you are in town to party the night away at Luxy (the hotel is on the 12th floor the same building) and halfway between the Ximen gay district and Jump.  We like the dark masculine feel of this three star hotel that is located in the heart of Taipei’s shopping district and just steps from the MRT.  There are lots of places to eat close by (including a 24-hour sushi restaurant if you fancy a little something in the middle of the night).  Free WiFi.

Good value for money boutique hotel with three locations in Taipei.  The Dandy Da-an is located just across the road from Da-an Park, just a 10 minutes’ taxi ride from the famous Taipei 101, the main shopping district and the gay parties at Luxy.  The modern guestrooms are super clean and feature a comfortable bed, flat screen TV, minibar and free WiFi.  Helpful and friendly staff.
