“I visited in the afternoon after some problems trying to find it. I chose Toto and asked for a body scrub with an aromatherapy massage. Toto was very professional and thorough with the scrub and gave me a good firm massage. Overall the massage was not sensual but really excellent. Toto was very attentive throughout. The happy ending was wonderful with several surprises. Toto showered me afterwards – a great experience. Definitely the highlight of my holiday in Thailand and Toto was the star.”

2nd time was bad
“It was my second time on 18 Nov 2015.
The person who greeted me when I reached was Max, and to my surprise, he did not smile or even nod at me. He just passed me an album, introduced himself as Max, and told me who were available at that point of time – himself, Sun, and Chart.
I chose Sun, because he seems to be wildly popular based on reviews here. He does ooze sex appeal, and I was looking forward to a pleasant experience with him.
The massage was alright, nothing very special. Sun was very quiet throughout. So quiet that I think i fell asleep halfway through the massage… The other places that I have been to seem to have masseurs who will exchange pleasantries throughout the massage, but Sun was not “sunny” that day, perhaps. Or he just didn’t like me as his customer. [In my earlier review titled “A pleasant experience”, I had initially wanted to choose Sun, but he brushed me off, saying he could not serve me the full 2 hours, as he had an appointment. After my second (this)encounter with him, I am inclined to think he does not appreciate me as his customer. I don’t like the fact that he seems to want to “choose” customers, instead of getting chosen by them.]
In any case, towards the end of the massage, I did get a half-hearted happy ending.
It was disappointing, really – all the more so with my choice of a masseur that seems to be so popular, but did not even provide me with good service.
I did not feel welcome, and I couldn’t wait to leave.
Next time I go back, I shall ask for Toto or Chart – the latter was at least smiley when he presented me with a cup of beverage…”

“A very cozy place which I’d say is quite easy to find. Selection of masseurs is through a photo book which has its disadvantages as pics on their file are just poor proxies of the real guys. When I was there, less than half of those on file were available. I had a great masseur (skillful all around) but if he wasn’t there I don’t think the others available on the day would have been ‘my types’. Negotiations for ‘additional services’ were super easy – just ask the guy what you like when it comes to that. Great value.”

“I went to Baantewa at 5:30pm on 04,October which is a raining day. It’s a quiet and cleaning place. This is my first massage men by men. I’m a little nervous at beginning, but relax after a while. I choosed Toto to do massage for me. He is more handsome than the picture and he is the total style I like. The massage is professional and make me feel good. He is so kind and lead me to find ATM I need when I went out. This is my best experience in my Thailand travel. Toto, wait me, I will come back to visit you, because I love you very very much!”

“I got there about 8 in the evening (note: hard to find if not familiar with Bangkok- look for the Bank of China building, behind it) and was told only one masseuse was available- I lucked out and got a great guy, Sun. I was very impressed by the quality of massage I received. He made sure I was comfortable the entire 2 hours! He has great technique, I asked him to go harder though.
Highly recommend this business.”

“I wasn’t expecting much from male masseurs based on my previous experiences. It’s either they are good in massage but not good looking or I chose the good looking one but so so massage. I chose a good looking one as I prefer to expect less than more. His name was Sun. He came inside the room wearing only his undies and man his rock hard bod made me drool especially when I saw his behind. He started with light touch and stroke while using oil. His strokes were just right, not too deep but not too light. The massage lasted for an hour and a half as advertised and didn’t expect much with the happily anticipated ending but boy Sun was full of surprises! Will definitely come back to see him! Polite, manly voice and sweet!”

“Location: Very accessible walking distance from BTS Chong Nonsi; behind Singapore Embassy. Place is very quiet and not crowded. Situated among residential houses so quite discreet if you are a bit shy
Spa: small but clean. Rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors need to share shower room/toilet
Masseur: I have read about Max from other reviews so I’m glad he was available so I chose him. He is very handsome and sweet. I opted for Aroma Therapy massage so I was expecting fragrant or herbal scents but did not smell anything. His massage skills are okay. Gave me a happy ending and I must say he is sexy and quite impressive :)) Although I was quite turned off by his constant reminder to give him extra tip and seemed he was kinda rushing to finish it already.
Overall: I will definitely come back ;)”

“Well “wow” is the word I would use to describe this place,
I’m not out and I’m 22 years old, I’m an OK good looking guy so was a little unknown how I would be treated.
I was also worried this was my first experience in this type of massage.
This is the perfect place very safe, very good if you haven’t got the confidence to go to the other place right in the heart of the gay scene!
If your lost to find it, get in a taxi and ask for the Singapore embassy it’s just behind there.
Great location not to hidden but enough to feel at ease walking there.
Once I got inside I felt relaxed and at ease, they brought me water and asked if I had booked.
I said no and asked who was free. I ended up with I think he’s name was Chang??
(so sorry I couldn’t remember his name. He was amazing) I asked a for him and he showed me to the room.
He switched the aircon on and asked me if I wanted a shower, so I took a shower and returned to the room.
He then gave me the best two hours of my life. Deep tissue massage really knew what he was doing!
Then I got a happy ending and then finished my massage with neck and head.
Then payment was simple and easy.
Gave him 1250! Tip was my last day and He was more than worth that.
However there all happy with the minimum 1000 tip.
A must must try. Showers, aircon, great guys, Small hidden and perfect!!!!!!”

“I enjoyed very much the massage with the handsome guy, I had on this massage. I am definitely a regular here so the guys who always entertain me always so charming to me. I will go back again and ask for this guy to massage me. I think I am selfish that I don’t want to share his name. He is very good. Enjoyed the massage very muchhhh.”

“Visited Baan Tewa recently. I had read reviews of massages by Sun and Max but when I saw their photos I realised they were very young men and chose instead an older man – Chart – who gave me an excellent deep massage – with a happy middle – and then another half an hour of deep tissue massage and head massage. Excellent service and friendly environment. Recommended”

HORRIBLE SILENT TREATMENT
“Went today sat April 11th at 6pm. Nobody was in reception so I waited 2 mins and called on the phone.
Then a guy in glasses come out without saying anything or even sawasdee handed menu to me. And he standed back few feet away. Didn’t offer anything, didn’t say anything. So I looked at him and said “I changed my mind” and I left.
Are they really an “angels”, I didn’t treatment like that in Thailand. I’m in shock.”

A pleasant experience
“I had a late flight today (16 Mar 2015), so after I checked out from the hotel, I decided to pay Baantewa a visit – My maiden one to the place, since I had some time to spare.
I took a taxi from Chong Nongsi, and paid about 60 Baht for the ride. I was able to locate Baantewa after about 20 mins. Question: why do taxi drivers in Bangkok not drop you off at the doorstep of your destination? Anyway, back to my experience.
The reception area was nothing fantastic – the decor and couch and chairs looked pretty sorry for themselves, but at least, I was greeted with a brilliant smile by the person at the reception counter. He was tall, muscular, and had a lovely smile.
He told me to sit down on the couch, and brought me 2 things: a photo album of the masseurs, and a signboard with the fees of services provided. Flipping through the album, a guy caught my eye. His picture was on the last page of the album, and his name was Sun. When I pointed out my choice of masseur to him, his response: “Me?” I was taken aback slightly, as I had not realised that the guy at the reception counter was the one whose picture had caught my eye. He, I sensed, seemed a bit reluctant to be chosen by me; however, he soon recovered and asked me what I would like to have done.
I had read from Baantewa’s website that the Body Scrub and Aromatherapy Body Massage was 1200 Baht, which was also on the signboard, so I told Sun I would like that. He seemed uncomfortable, and finally told me that he can’t serve me for 2 hours, as he had an appointment soon. Not sure if that was true, or he just wanted to choose his customers. Anyways…
I then chose Max – I had seen his picture, and was not particularly taken with him; however, I had seen his name mentioned in previous reviews, so he was my second choice. Sun acknowledged my choice of Max, and disappeared, reappearing 10 seconds later, telling me that Max was also not available. Well… I asked who was available, and he brought this guy forward.
He was slightly muscular, and had a cute smile. His skin was fair and smooth, and his cologne appealed to me, so I agreed to be served by him. Upon enquiry, this guy was Toto, whose name had also appeared in previous reviews. I secretly heaved a sigh of relief – I wasn’t sure what kind of service I was going to get initially, and was relieved I at least got someone mentioned in a review.
He started with the scrub, which was almost a massage in itself. In the middle of the scrub, he excused himself, and came back bearing a tray with a glass of warm water, and a container of Halls candy. He said that the warm water would help soothe the tickle in my throat and the Halls candy would clear the blockage in my nose – I had been sniffing and coughing since the beginning of the scrub. I was impressed and touched. He had shown that at least, he was a kind and caring person. The scrub continued, and I nearly melted under the gentle and soothing movements of his hands.
The massage came afterwards. This time, he used more of his elbows. Slightly forceful massage, if you think you prefer that. Throughout the massage, I could hear him breathing heavily at intervals, which told me he was really putting in a lot of effort. I was not sure if a happy ending came with all massages at Baantewa, and was willing to forgo that because Toto made me feel so good during the scrub and massage. I did realise towards the end of the massage, however, it did.
It ended in a very happy ending for both of us. A 2-hour body scrub + aromatherapy body massage ended in 2 hours and 20 minutes.
Do pay the place a visit, and remember to ask for Toto. I will definitely go back.”

Angels and heaven do exist
“After Sun/Tawan massage was a failure, I went to this spa. No appointment and I was lucky to enjoy. Went for 1.5 hour Thai massage and done by Sun. Perfect pressure and strokes for me. Kept asking if I was OK. Also private shower. I accidentally left my cross necklace at the spa and they returned it.
Will definitely return.”

Best Two Hours!
“Was there today and was presented with two masseurs to choose from. Glad I picked my guys of choice and the entire experience was awesome. He started with some presses to get me relaxed and after 15 mins he started the bodyscrub. That lasted for a good 30 mins and then it’s oil massage. His strength is just nice and his baby smooth hands mixed with oil is heavenly as he slide them to ease away all the tension from the week. What made it all so special is his smile throughout the entire process. His name is Sun. And I almost touched paradise….”

“Dropped in at around 9pm, and had two masseuse to choose from. Tried going with the tip of one of the previous reviewers, and asked who gives the best massage, but the guy at the counter said that they are all well trained. In the end, I went with Max and didn’t regret it. He really did a great job at kneading my body from the back (and more). I’ll definitely be going back again before the end of my stay here.”

“Went with a friend in August. No selection of masseurs, although we went at 3:00 PM as they told would have more. Luckily the masseurs are good. Just one room has shower, the rest all need to share with others outside. Saw other guess just wrapped a towel walking around. Not bad, but others are better.”

Massage was ok, boy was awesome
“The guy Sun is the one to get. Very friendly, very sexy, speaks English! The welcome guy taking the orders at the front was like a zombie with no emotion but I guess that’s not important. Massage was good, I wish there was a bit more to the Thai massage part, but the pop massage was glorious.”

my favorite place in bangkok so far
“I’m an American living in Bangkok. I’ve been to most of the shops in town. I’ve had countless bad experiences – especially among the tourist-only ripoff shops around Silom area. Baan Tewa I picked at random one day because it’s close to my home. So easy to get to by BTS too. I have had great massages and great ‘finishing touches’ every time I’ve been there. I’ve been there about 6 times at least by now. One thing I’ve learned is the ALWAYS ask (at every shop!) three things: (1) Is he gay? (2) Is he ‘compatible’ with my preferred treatment? and (3) Which one gives the best trained massage? Many times (at other shops) you’ll get 1 or 2 of these items, but not all 3. For example, you find out he’s straight. To be clear, I’ve always found all three at Baan Tewa. See my star rating.”
