If you find Mixwell, then you will find Bali Joe as it is quite literally next door.

You will likely end up bar-hopping between these two venues.  Bali Joe matches Mixwell with its own cute go-go dancers and highly popular drag shows that feature plenty of audience participation singing along to popular gay anthems.

Throughout the night, there are a variety of stage and bar top performances including some pretty stunning Balinese go-go dancers and excellent lip-synced female impersonators.  We loved the Beyoncé impersonator but had no idea how her wig remains attached to her head during this particularly high energy dance routine!

Drink prices are not the cheapest (75,000 IDR / US$8.50 for a G & T) but good entertainment is never free.

  1. “Every time we are in Seminyak, My partner and I love hanging out at Bali Joe's (haven't been to Mixwell yet though)... we love the atmosphere there, and the staff are polite, very nice and friendly... We've introduced BJ's to our friends (gays and straights) and they seemed love the place... my brother in-law said the Mojito served in Bali Joe's is the best in Bali. As for me, I love their Long Island Tea... We adore 'Annie Lennox'singing 'No more I love you.' Support Bali Joe's ... also other Gay entertainment places in Bali...”

  2. “Bali Joe is one of the oldest bars in Seminyak. Definitely has the hottest go go boys in town often playing with customers as the show is on the bar and tiny stage close to entrance. Good service and many friendly people around. The only shadow for regular party goers are money boys. Bali Joe is literally filled with the guys looking for customers. So if you dont mind or simply looking for it - you can feel like in center of pink universe.”
