Location is really important in Bangkok. That is one of the reasons why we like the Bangkok Lumpini Park Crowne Plaza.
This 5-star hotel is just a few minutes walk from the DJ Station, G Bangkok, Telephone Bar and all the other venues in Silom Soi 2 & 4. The Sala Deang BTS and Lumpini Park MRT stations are equally close.
The Crowne Plaza is elevated above the noise of the city. The check-in desk is on the 23rd floor and the rooms are even higher offering panoramic views across the city. The rooms are spacious with cable TV, DVD, tea & coffee making facilities, free Wi-Fi and a comfortable bed. Club Floor rooms have a dedicated check-in area, and guests have access to the Club Lounge that offers free drinks and snacks all day long. There is a small gym and a rooftop pool with sun loungers. We’ve met the management team and love their attitude towards the gay market.
Really nice rooms and staff, we went to songkran last year and had the best time ever – silom road is closed and its just one major water fight with the Thai boys leading the way.
Location great – we were not the only gays in the Hotel – nice pool area too. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Stayed here twice in the last year, the last time about 3 months ago and absolutely loved the Hotel – the Hotel which is located from level 23 upwards; the hotel is 2 minutes away from Silom Soi 2 where you will find DJ and GOD (Guys on Demand) and 4 minutes away from Silom Soi 4 where all the gay bars are such as telephone.
We upgraded to the Club floor on levels 31 and 32, and were really looked after even with our daily hangovers. The staff are great and well trained.
The restaurant on level 23 has a fabulous deck area with the windows open and stunning view after you have had the free drinks in the Club Lounge then its the perfect place for a cocktail before the two minute walk to DJ!
Crowne Plaza in the UK is a four star hotel with five star prices, Crowne Plaza in Asia are five star hotels with four star prices!
Seriously would recommend this, and will be back!
