“Got all wired up for Sunday night action 14FEB as said open till 8am. 1.30am I turn up – closed, doors locked, not a soul in sight. At least advertise what your plans are, or still to your advertising. One way or other.”

  3. Little action

“I went there for the first time tonight and was surprised that even by Singaporean standards the front reception was simply rude. It was underwear night so, as I don’t ever wear underwear, I was caught underwear less and had to go naked … I’m OK with that. As a more mature Caucasian man who is not that attracted to Asian men I found myself naked and totally uninspired in the freezing aircon. Guys were walking around with glow sticks checking each other out … there was very little action. Now admittedly perhaps I just happened on a bad night. But this was so off putting I left within half an hour.”

  4. first time at a gay sauna

“OK been looking and finally made my mind to go this sauna. First as you walk in the front desk ask some questions do I know what kind of club this is and how did I found out about it. Filled in some information paid the membership fee and the regular fee for the session. Walk in to the locker room to change and there were some uncles just sitting there looking.

Changed went to the steam room which was nice but way to dark couldn’t see much and step on someone foot. Then made way to the 2nd floor where the maze and dark rooms were the floor was a Lil sticky and slimey in some spots. So I walk around and had someone from behind touch me which was OK but then their were two more guys told them no thank you. Walked a Lil more and again that happen so left the maze for a while and walk down the halls were the privite room were and was OK. Tried the maze again saw a cute cute walk in there but lost him. Overall it was OK got a Lil business around 530 will try this place again hope it will be better.”

  5. Not as hot as back then

“The event held on 3rd January 2016 was a blast! Cruise was more crowded than a Zara Annual sale despite being a Nude event night. The Jacuzzi stinks. Cleanliness of the private rooms at the maze was never well maintained. NEVER. The bins were seldom cleared. Good crowd. Used to be way better. Per entry fee is a hefty $28/$23 after 5pm. Much higher than the other saunas. “Fun” is no gurantee”

  6. Newbie review and questions

“First of all, I’d say I’m a newbie at the sauna cruising scene. I visited Cruise once to see what goes on. The jacuzzi was highly avoidable – cloudy water and who knows what mixed in it.
The sauna was excellent hot and steamy – and plenty of action. Quite dark and impossible to see. By the sounds of it, there was more going on..

The maze was heavily trafficked. Lots of standing around near the rooms and looking, but didn’t get anyone interested to go in with me. Other area of maze were good. Upstairs lounge has sofa where I got my man.

    Questions
How do the theme nights work – only one skin night. Seems silly to wear towel or speedo when all you want is to get them off
How to get people join you in room – just go in any lie down and wait?
I’ll be visiting again in December. Any tips?”

  8. Alright Experience

“Visited Cruise Club for the first time on a Friday afternoon to evening.

    Pros
    1. Big area
Many rooms, large cruise area. Large area for lounging and rooftop cafe area. Might be better if these areas were better utilised on the other hand.

    2. Nice mix of crowd
A nice spread with a fair number of hot guys. Many bodies in the evening.

    3. Adequately equipped gym

    4. Nice decor
    Looks inviting

    CONS
    1. Condoms are a significant distance away from where action happens.
It is located on a different floor from the maze / rooms. This is a major public health concern.

    2. Showers, restrooms are are rather limited
I felt that the facilities are similar, if not lesser in quantity and quality than that of some smaller establishments. Push taps switch off way too fast. No urinals: guys queue up for cubicles like the ladies…. -_-‘ Soap dispenser on the second floor was not working.

    3. The entrance curtain to the 2nd floor (rooms / maze area) smelt of unwashed linen
But otherwise the cleanliness and hygiene standards are good.

    4. Pricey rates
But this needs to be evaluated against the younger crowd it manages to attract in with its free entrance for 18-25 year-olds.

In summary, it is a nice place with a good crowd. Accessibility of condoms, while it may seem just a slight inconvenience, is a major public health concern.

I declare no conflict of interests in writing this review.”

  9. Not so special.

“First time in Singapore and first time at Cruise. I am not a gay sauna virgin, I have been to various saunas around the world. If you want to be anonymous I don’t think this place is for you. Cruise is on the main strip near Chinatown so it is a very very busy road. The entrance is well lit and quite open. Once inside there is a onslaught of questions. How did you find out about this place? Have you been here before? Are you a member? Do you know what kind of place it? Membership is 10 Sing Dollar this lasts apparently 12 months but for visitors who might only go there once because they might only ever visit Singapore once it feels like a cheap way of making more money. Then add the 28 Sing dollar for entry it starts to feel expensive, not to mention the invasion of Privacy or theft of anonymity as you are required to fill out a form with your personal details, full name, date of birth, phone number for membership purposes . Once in, the locker area is spacious and modern with a few pieces of gym equipment. There is only a small unlit steam room. Unfortunately the walls and seating felt really slimy, lucky it was fairly hot inside, next to it is a jacuzzi, the temp was good, the back jets worked but there were cloudy fat bubbles forming on top of the water. Then the shower area, big enough but the water pressure is not strong enough to operate all showers at once. I understand that living in these climates there will be critters. I saw one cockroach sharing the shower with me and it was almost bigger than some of the young lads in there. In this area is also the smoking area as it is a internal courtyard of the building. As standard liquid soap is provided and even mouth wash (I have not seen that before anywhere). Going upstairs the cruise area is quite large and seems clean in the dim red and white lighting, with what looked like some big cabins. Further upstairs a video room with raised mattresses and what was called a cafe with internet, chairs tables and free syrup drinks in self serve dispensers and tea and coffee. Then further another out door balcony area. The whole place smelled of camphor (mothballs) it is even placed inside the lockers. Like any Sauna it depends on the time of day and which day to who and how many will be there. I was there around 21:00 on a Tuesday it was busy enough. Each night has a different theme so I guess different nights attract differing people. The people that work there need to remember that being friendly is also a service.”

  14. Not bad, worth checking out

“I read up about this place beforehand. I have never been to one before and thought it would be interesting to check out. Nice place but located on a really busy street. So if you want to be incognito it would be a bit hard. Once in, there is a no nonsense attendant. Just pay the fee and get going. There is an open locker area. Just change and head through to the hot tub downstairs or go upstairs.
Second floor is the maze and the third is the bar. It was dark in the maze with some dim lights throughout. You are pretty much in 3 groups. The wanderers that roam the halls, the learners who pretty much stay in one spot, and the roomers who wait for someone to go in.
It was decently busy the night I was there. All decent bodies with a couple of muscle types. Also a few Caucasians which was cool.
After an hour of mindless wandering I decided to just take the initiative and what a great idea that was. Needless to say we all left happy.
Since this is the first time I have been to a “sauna” I can’t compare the facilities but it was a lot of fun and I am looking to try it out again.”

    • Cruise Replies

      “Dear all,

The below is an official reply from Cruise Club regarding this incident.

      A. WHAT HAPPENED

      1. At around 11.30pm on 7 Mar (Sat), several officers approached Cruise Club in what we believe to be part of their routine checks for general compliance (of licenses, fire safety, overcrowding etc) around the area.

      2. As standard Cruise Club protocol to protect the interests of our members, our staff switched on the overhead white lights and also turned off the club’s piped in music. We were not instructed at any point by the officer to have our lights on.

      3. The officers (including those from NEA – National Environment Agency) requested to enter the club so they could inspect the premises. Our Club Manager on duty spoke to the officers and they left after inspecting the premises in about 30 minutes.

      4. We were also recommended by the officer from NEA to limit our smoking point to only level 1 as the additional smoking point in level 3 is near to our cafe.

      5. No other action was taken, and no members were affected in this routine check.

      6. The Club resumed normal operations thereafter shortly, as we checked in more members and processed re-entries to Cruise for Skin Saturday.

      B. CRUISE’S ASSURANCES

      1. Cruise values the privacy and safety of all our members.

      2. While such checks rarely happen, Cruise has standard policies in place (as per all other saunas) to ensure that any inconvenience to our customers are reduced to its lowest level.

      3. That is also the reason why the Club’s lights were on and the music turned off as part of our standard procedure. The procedures will be similar also in emergency situations like a fire hazard.

      4. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our members and will issue all members affected by this incident a complimentary all-day 1 Day Pass for the short disruption in their enjoyment of the Club. All members affected today will be notified via e-mail/SMS on the redemption of the free pass.

We thank all our members for their continued support and would like to assure all that we will do our best to ensure that all our members feel at home in a safe, clean and secure environment.

      Love,
      Cruise Club”

  17. Young, fit, some eye candies, typical XYZ Generation

“I have managed a bath house in the Philippines (epitome malate 2007-2012) and I am a frequent bath house goer since college days, from Club Bath Philippines, Fahrenheit, We’reHaus (formerly Mansion), so I know what customers felt, and management can do.

Cruise is just right. Clean, youthful, fit and some eye candies. But the present XYZ generation are typical choosy, picky and snobbish if only if you are as hunk as Hugh Jackman or as gorgeous as Brandon Routh, then you will surely go wild. I wish they just ignore the self-inhibition, and explore the wild side of cruising in the maze, rooms, and have a great bonding among half naked men. My suggestion, let management place some kinky men who can play and have fun, a little show perhaps, it will excite everybody more. But then again, it all depends on the crowd, management and the community as the establishment speaks itself “Cruise”….Mama Sam”

Guys are indeed hot, but like most Asian guys in Asian countries I found there was a lot of standing around and shy glances ( personal opinion) but not much action. More diligent cleaning of private rooms needed and steam room does really smell.”

“I agree. I was a bit taken aback with questions like “first time here” and “do you know that this is an all-male sauna” (I think people would know). It was perhaps not the question but the impatient tone of the reception staff – best way to calm a nervous or new patron into a gay sauna. This was probably just me but I’ve always felt that the temperature could be turned up a bit more. You know you’re naked – perhaps not make it so cold? It’s at a great location though – easy to find and close to the MRT.”

  39. well well well

“Welcome address – Not even polite! Music – With so many internet radio stations, how can it be so bad? First time visit – 31 SGD!!!! A record for Singapore. Crowd – 90% young Chinese. Towels – One super small size. Clean? Could be improved in the rooms. For sure, not my favorite place in Singapore.”

  40. The rooftop cafe

“The rooftop cafe is not well designed. I suggest that Cruise Club could turn it become something like a lounge and the lighting should be dim. Guys can chat and have some drink in the lounge with a romantic dim light there. It would be very welcome.”

  42. A World-Class Gay Sauna

“Cruise is easily the leading gay sauna in Singapore at the time of writing. Quite efficiently run, clean, and spacious, with sufficient daily patronage to make every day interesting. Free admission to the under 25’s on certain days ensures a steady stream of youth, which is always good for business; and considering its size it is one of the best maintained facilities of its kind in this town.

There are three levels – ground floor, where there is a small gym, the changing areas, the toilets and showers, a jacuzzi, steam room and an open air yard; the second level, which has a maze, darkroom (more passage) and a good number of cabines, and the third level, where the rooftop cafe and a relaxation area with beds can be found. The stairs that separate each level are steep and numerous, so be warned if you are no longer sprightly!

Cruise is clearly backed by savvy stakeholders who are happy to make the necessary investments in order to keep the establishment ticking; we can only hope this continues and that it doesnt go the way of Absolute or One Seven, sauna stalwarts in their time but now sadly suffering from poor maintenance which their dwindling visitors cannot be helping. The latest effort to enhance the Cruise experience is the introduction of their CruiseCares programme of club benefits, e.g. free yoga sessions, that aim to encourage a social dimension at the venue for those who are open to more than an anonymous tryst in the dark. Full marks for effort.

In an ideal world, the gym would be bigger (only 3 or 4 can use it at any one time), the lockers larger, the entrance fees lower, and as stated, the stairs less treacherous; but overall, there is little to complain about and much to be grateful for. The young staff are all fluent English speakers, which always helps if you are an overseas visitor; there is imagination in their many theme nights, and they do offer certain economic concessions that involve free return passes or pre-paid packages. Now, if the Management could only see to extending their validity to three and six months respectively (to accommodate those who can’t make it downtown regularly), there would be hardly nothing to grouse about at all.”

  44. “Cruise Club seems to offer the best fun in SG on their Saturday nude event. The maze upstairs gets very crowded and the hot action is fully satisfying. This is, I think, what matters the most in a gay sauna. This being what it is, I have nothing negative to say about the place.”

  46. “Hi John and Bleik,
Some of our mattresses were cracked due to extremely high usage by our very wild members. We apologise for not being able to repair them in time due to the Chinese New Year period. They have since been all fully replaced by a special and tougher material.
Our dark maze has also been greatly enhanced with several surprise features. Cruise takes pride in maintaining our lead as Singapore’s favourite sauna so that we can provide you with an optimal cruising experience.
Keep the suggestions coming, so we can serve you even better!
    xoxo -Cruise Club

  47. “The mattresses in many rooms are very uncomfortable. They are rough and cracked. They can also make our bodies hurt when we want to “push in and out”. I advise Cruise Management that for the club’s sake I hope you can take action ASAP. Thanks!”

  49. “I have been to Cruise a couple of times. Best to go when it is a Skin or Swimwear theme night with more actions happening. The place is clean and big, but the music sometimes a bit too loud. Will definitely go there more often to try out all the facilities.”

  52. “A big place for us to use the gym and spa in chinatown area. Kindly do some housekeeping at times on the second floor as toilet rolls always run out in the washroom, and the rooms are untidy as well. The music is too loud – we want to have a relaxing time as we have to work the next day. Keep up the good work. We will bring friends to use the facilities. C u Soon and have a great day.”
