The Ascott offers spacious and affordable apartment style accommodation and is particularly popular with gay travellers during festivals such as New Year and Songkran (Thai New Year). Great door staff, an utterly amazing gym, spa facilities and a nice sunny pool. If you want (free) access to a seriously good gym, then The Ascott could be a great choice. The Ascott is just a couple of minutes walk from the BTS Chong Nonsi station – which it is just one stop to the gay bars and clubs in Silom (BTS Sala Daeng).

  1. “The rooms at the Ascott as starting to feel a bit dated - but at least they have now installed an LCD TV screen (in the lounge) and matteress toppers that make the beds more comfortable. The service is still excellent and the gym is still the very best in town. Still popular with the gay crowd, but some might be tempted by the W across the road.”

  3. “Our firm favourite when in Bangkok. We are never the only gay couple by the pool...there is a little 7 / 11 type store in the underground car-park. They deliver food / drink directly to the room.”
