This chic resort, that opened in 2010,  is setting new standards on the island.  A real retreat for a relaxing holiday but close enough to Chaweng Beach if you fancy a night out.

The villas are crammed with latest technology – from RFID cards to unlock the door to iPhone chargers next to the bed.  The red teddies are cute and cuddly.  We particularly liked the amazing breakfast buffet and exclusive on-site Nanu Japanese restaurant.  In the evening, a live DJ plays some pretty good music in the bar.  Some of the staff are quite cute too!  Do you need any more reasons?

  1. “My partner and I stayed at the W Samui in February this year (2012). The welcome and general level of service throughout our stay was exceptional. Our pool villa was also amazingly spacious and totally private. Breakfast at the 'Kitchen Table' restaurant was also impressive. Completely gay friendly, with plenty of gay employees! The beach at the W is part of a headland and is certainly not the best on the island. Additionally, as this is a new resort, a lot of the plants and trees have yet to provide the sort of coverage that will turn the Villa areas into one big garden in the not too distant future.”
