Jalan Pantai Batu Belig, Gg Papuan 8, Bali, Indonesia
Why this hotel: Fabulous hosts. Near the gay beach.
Gay-owned guesthouse Zen 4 Men is a sanctuary for gay men located just 60 meters from Bali’s new gay beach at Batu Belig.
This private guesthouse offers 4 studios with designer bathrooms with a mixture of Japanese, Chinese and Indonesian décor.
There is a private garden for you to relax or socialize and a day spa next door. Breakfast is included, and lunch and dinner are made to order.
Zen 4 Men supports the gay community by selling self-designed sarongs and donating profits to HIV Awareness.
“The 4 of us spent two weeks at Zen4Men. Beautiful little sanctuary. Very clean rooms. Everyday clean towels. The shower is just magic. Very Nice breakfast and a great staff. The owners Cam and Fin were perfect hosts. Without charging us extra, we had a transfer from and to the airport, a free massage and an authentic Balinese diner.
A bit of a downer was the sometimes poor internet connection due to the poor Indonesian infrastructure. If we go back to Bali, we’ll definately return to Zen4Men.”
