Our favourite out-of-town luxury option. The exceptionally beautiful Four Seasons Resort has a peaceful scenery, surrounded by rice paddy fields, complete with large trees, water buffalos, etc.
The bungalows are tastefully furnished and feature teak floors and Thai artworks. The resort has an outdoor pool, well-equipped gym, tennis court, restaurant and massage spa. Free bicycle rentals are available.
Located in Mae Rim district, about 12 miles from the city centre and the gay scene (20 minutes by taxi). When we stayed at this resort, we had very little desire to leave the front gate!
