Coinciding with Tokyo’s Rainbow Pride festivities, Contact proudly welcomes a line-up bursting with talent from across the LGBT+ spectrum. As well as DJs, the riotous celebration of diversity will play host to drag queens and more from Europe and US as well as Asia.
Hailing from Venice in a dazzling display of queer culture turned up to 11, Hard Ton is the perfect choice to head up the party. Part performance art piece, part electronic music live act, producer DJ Wawashi and heavy metal singer Max create a multi-sensory experience that simply refuses to be ignored. Behind the theatrics lies a serious amount of acid house firepower – this is far from some novelty cabaret act, verified by the solid tracks for International Deejay Gigolo, Permanent Vacation and Luv Shack Records.
Aside from the show-stealing headline performance, DJ Wawashi will also be DJing on the night to keep the energy levels at fever pitch all night. Contact regular Gonno will also be on hand to maintain the vibe on the Studio X floor. The long-standing producer has appeared on a wide range of labels from Perc Trax and Endless Flight to International Feel and Ostgut Ton, and he’ll bring his instinct for house, techno and disco with flair when he joins in the fun at MOTORPOOL on its best form.
