The annual Mumbai Pride takes place on Saturday, February 3rd, organised by Queer Azaadi Mumbai (QAM), a group of individuals who come together to express their voices, celebrate diversity and create a platform to fight for equal rights for the LGBTIQ community.
QAM has remained on forefront of many activities in India over the years. The LGBTIQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex & Queer) is a sexual minority group not accepted by the general Indian society where only heterosexual relationships are considered valid.
