  1. Disappointing

“Ok, it’s really simple: if you are just looking for a good massage, don’t bothered coming here.

I went today after a long day walking, asked for the 120 min fusion (oil) massage. Was led to the room and asked to take a shower. The room was facing right onto the street on the l2nd floor with a massage table - with loud traffic noise. It’s clean and well maintained. No ac, just the fan but it wasn’t too hot in a November evening.

The masseur removed my towel and asked me to face down on the table. About 20 mins into the massage he went to get some water and it took 5 mins. He came back and asked me how much I’d tip him for him for his service. It’s all a bit confusing but he completed his question with a hand gesture.

He took out his phone and asked how much I’d tip him. I typed in 10,000ks (about $8 and the 120 Mins massage is 20,000 - $15). He laughed and said no and that’s that. I said no need.

He continued to “rub” my body and then told me to shower. This was 60mins into the 120 mins session. I told him I wanted 120 mins. And he showed me the blister on his hand (if I could add an emoji here it’d be a shocked face) and he said... “90 mins” and showed me his hand again, and again and again.

I simply could not be bothered at this point. I took a shower and he gave me the bill that said 120mins and 20,000 kys on it. I paid the 15,000ks for 90 mins and left.

The masseur wasn’t rude or anything and wasn’t mean after I said no. But as I mentioned earlier:

Don’t bothered coming if you just want a regular massage (not even just a sensual one).“

  2. Great massage

“Usually my expectations for gay massage run along the sensual feeling of a man's hands on my body. I was pleasantly surprised at the great work my masseur did, especially after a long day sightseeing, climbing stairs, etc. My feet, calves and thighs ached, and in 90 minutes all was like new. The young man (Oniway was his name), did excellent work on my back and shoulders as well. For travellers, don't expect Western standards with facilities in Myanmar. I also liked this place, because I had a massage table.“

  3. You can do better in Mandalay

“I was very disappointed with my massage at Lime Spa. My masseur seemed totally disinterested. The surroundings were a bit of a let down too - no background music, just the constant honk of horns. No mood lighting just the natural light filtering through the blinds. The masseur even stayed dressed in jeans and t-shirt the whole time whereas all the other massages i took in Myanmar the masseur stripped down to just shorts.
Afterwards, as i waited for my taxi, a rat ran cross the floor in front of me. Sums up the place really.“
