Very Chinese but fun experience
“I went to Neil's in November 2016. The store was being completely redone and the front was covered in scaffolding, which made it quite difficult to find this place. Inside, same thing, the corridors were lined with bags of cement and the whole thing was being ripped apart. The staff was all huddled in a small room near the entrance, eating noodles and chatting loudly. The massage room was quite ugly, run down, dirty, and very much like a Chinese dorm room with a massage bed.
I have to say that I do enjoy this kind of very local experiences in China, but it is easier for me, because I have been here for a long time and speak Chinese.
The masseur who was sent to me did not waste time. After a bad but fortunately short massage, we moved to the main event, which was concluded in some 10 minutes. 20 minutes into the whole thing, I was out on the street, buying some food at the nearby 7-11. Quite underwhelming, but a very local and fun experience. I will not soon forget this one, but just because it was the first time I was banged in a construction site... and paid for it.“

“I am very interested in the masseurs posted on the website of Gay Sky which is the same as Neil Massage. I called Gay Sky and asked for a masseur to be sent to my hotel. However, he did not turn out to be similar to the picture, and provided a subpar experience (refer to Gay Sky review).
The following day, I decided to go to Neil Massage to look at the masseurs since it is about one subway away. The manager brought me to one of the dingy looking rooms and asked the masseurs to introduce themselves in groups of 3. I noticed that many of them were sleepy and I asked him why. He said they only start work at 3pm, whereas the time was 1pm then. He also told me the different prices for the different types of services - 400 RMB for massage etc. For outcall, it's 800 excluding taxi fare. He then told me which are the masseurs who are more obliging.“

“Walked by and walked in cause it looked interesting. Massage was quite average. He too rolled over and stopped massaging and finished everything within 45 mins. I had to ask for him to keep massaging me.
Would probably not go back“

Not so professional massage
“After a long flight I decided to book an in-call massage through Neil Massage. The web booking service was extremely convenient, professional and helpful with their online chat functionality. The masseur arrived after about 1 hour which was very punctual. Then came the disappointment... the massage was all of 3 minutes (they advertise by the hour) then he rolled over and it became obvious. Of course I know the drill but I expected some form of value for money. I have had many massages in other parts of China with much better experiences. If you are looking for a 'professional' massage then I suggest to try some place else. If you do book through Neil I would steer clear of #2258.“
