  1. Underwhelmed.

“I have been massaged at the Royal Spa three times, so I wanted to try something different during my most recent trip to Taipei. I have read many rave reviews about a therapists massage skills and professionalism, so I booked an appointment with him way in advance because I knew how popular he was.

The spa's location was a little difficult to find, but I managed to arrive 10 minutes before my session was supposed to begin. I wanted a 9:00 appointment, but the scheduler suggested 9:30 instead. When I arrived, I called the office like I was instructed to do.

The therapist came out. He looked very similar to his pictures on the website, except he looked a bit older in person. He seemed kind of surprised that I was there. He asked if I had an appointment. When I said my appointment was with him, he pulled out his phone and confirmed it. He told me to wait outside for a few minutes before he ushered me into a little apartment at the rear of the facility. It was nice and cozy, but the decor wasn't as fancy as Royal's.

He told me to shower, and then he excused himself from the room. I was familiar with the process, so I already showered before I got there. Still, I did what I was told to do and waited patiently. It was 9:30 at that point. He returned a little after 9:40 and dimmed the lights. His dry massage was very powerful, which I enjoyed. He used so much force that I was still a little sore two days after my session with him. He asked if I wanted to take a bathroom break before the oil massage. I declined. He had a cup of water that he drank from during the massage. He later excused himself to take another bathroom break. The end of the massage was very quick. I think he wanted to get it done ASAP because it was getting late. The whole massage was over at 11:20.

Like the previous commenter, I paid for two hours, but I didn't receive the full amount of time. I was disappointed with my experience. Vic is supposed to be the best therapist at Weipa, but I won't be back to try the other guys.“

  2. 2 hours = 90 minutes

“I had a massage which was pretty good but I was a bit annoyed that the masseur took a break for 8 minutes in the middle of my massage and then finished 27 minutes early for some reason. The man at the desk said it was so I have time to shower and asked if it was ok but I was already dressed and in the lobby. That is the wrong time to notice the session wasn't long enough. I wouldn't mind except you pay for 120 minutes you should get 120 minutes. I have a shower at my hotel I don't need to use theirs. I would try again but only if they give me the actual time I have paid for.“

  3. Bruce is brilliant

“After having so many bad massages in Taipei I tried Weipa after a friend recommended Bruce. He was so good at massage and made me feel so welcome and relaxed. I had the best 2 hour massage service and he made sure I was ok all the time.

I really liked the set up of the spa with the room it was really big and comfortable. I will definitely return and see Bruce he is he someone who can become your friend and you will not be disappointed.“

  4. A good job

“Today was the third time coming to the spa. I have booked Dickie in advance. I liked his massage pressure which was right to the spot. He really know how to massage and made you feel comfortable. For the second part, nothing can be done to make it better. I felt happy walking away. I will be back.“

  5. Vic is superb

“Vic's massage was as good as everyone bragged about here. His massage was strong but sensuous, exactly what I like and prefer. Though it ended a little early, I was in 7th heaven already. The jello and chrysanthemum tea were a good finale, not to forget his bearly hug. The private massage suite was kept sparkling clean. Good job, Vic and thank you.“

  7. One of the best experience in this city

“Feel really lucky for choosing here as my final stop of the trip. The location is very close to Ximending station, with the entrance in an alley so great privacy that I don't have chance bumping into anyone else except my massuer.

When I arrived, Bruce, a well-built stud with a cute smile, entered a cozy room together. It's very clean and tidy, with a pleasant scent. After cleansing comes to my fav part... despite he's so buffed, he knows just the right amount of pressure and managed to free my muscle soreness away! I can tell that he is definitely a veteran. I like the rhythmic stokes, not the robotic moves but very flexible and romantic.... He's also very smart and polite, leaving me fully charged while I left.

This experience really brushed up my mood. Definitely gonna visit him again next time.“

  8. Weipa's Bruce was amazing

“Had the pleasure of experiencing Bruce's massage services when he was with another Taipei spa. To my dismay, when I wanted to avail myself of his skills when I was in Taipei once more, the previous spa's website no longer lists him as one of their masseurs. Luckily I found him at Weipa after a quick search online.

Weipa's setup is such that you have no interaction with any counter staff. Each of their masseurs has a fully equipped and spacious room to ensure your utmost privacy. The showers, towels and massage bed were spotlessly clean. Its central location is very convenient, being just a hop and skip away from the Ximending train station.

Bruce's massage skills are second to none. This I speak from experience - having had massages in various spas in Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and of course Taiwan. He has the uncanny ability to know where your troubled spots are and apply just the right amount of pressure. Throughout the entire time, he was cheerful, polite, respectful and we had some very smart engaging conversations (him being easy on the eyes doesn't hurt either). At some points during the massage I may have fallen asleep because it was so relaxing and felt so good.

Can't wait to be back in Taipei for Bruce's massage again.“

  9. An Unforgettable Massage

““I have been doing massage many years and I must say Vic is an exceptional outstanding masseur.

I think you can feel Vic's attitude is very professional. His massage skill should be trained by practical experience. He knows each spot quite accurately and how to apply pressure appropriately.

He treats you like a friend rather than a client. He plans the massage time appropriately too and do not waste time only on a particular part of the body.

Vic is also very popular at the spa and needs advance booking. I highly recommend Vic."“

  11. “First time in Taipei and i enjoyed it very much! The city, people, food, culture. But i must say that one of the high points of my trip was the intense yet relaxing massage i had with Vic at Weispa. The ambiance is very cosy & private. Kay the receptionist is very accommodating and Vic is very punctual, professional and attentive. He is handsome, well built with strong firm hands. There was a time i thought he will break me like a twig! LOL! Took his time with our session me hoping it will never end! Showered before and after. Once i dressed up ready to go, he served a hot tea ang jello pudding ( and i thought "are we on a date?" Yeah i wish). A nice warm goodbye! He richly deserved the big fat tip for being the best at what he does!“

  13. A memorable experience

“It was my first massage experience, and Vic made sure I never regretted it.

Besides being handsome and well-built, Vic knows how to give a good massage. The pressure he applies is spot on, and he does so with 100% effort - strong but not excessively so. I was a little nervous when the massage began, but his friendly demeanour quickly put me at ease, and soon enough all I could think of was how I wished the session could last the entire day.

Vic is also very professional. He makes sure he never misses a spot or skips a repetition, and I could say that because I went to him again a few days later and it felt vividly familiar. If I had spent more days in Taiwan, I would gladly guarantee there would be a third visit.

After the massage, we chatted a little about my trip, and Vic suggested a few places I could visit that aren't major tourist attractions. He doesn't try to make you leave when you aren't ready to, and that says a lot about the way he treats you - not merely as a customer, but more like a friend.

As I am writing this review, I am subconsciously thinking about when I should plan my next trip to Taiwan, and of course to pay Vic a visit.“

  14. Perfect atmosphere, Poor massage

“My husband and I both had "massage" here and also at Royal. Very similar "technique." Seems Taiwan gay scene has no idea the read concept of massage. No attempt to apply pressure to muscles of the body.

It's body rub with oil and handsome guys in lovely setting. Who's complaining? Sure we leave refreshed. But it's not massage.“

  15. Rushed..

“Had a massage at Weipa Spa today and I am appaled with the service received. My massage was mediocre and nothing like described on their website but what stroke me most is the attitude of the masseur called Bruce. He did not only rush to finish the session early but also was rude and unfriendly. To my request for a fresh towel after the second shower at the end he simply responded that it was not possible and I had to use the same wet one. When I asked to speak to the manager, he said the he was busy pushing me outside the room and locking the door in front of me. I had to leave shortly as nobody showed up. I believe there are nice people working at Weipa Spa but the management should take an appropriate action so that other customers do not come across with such an unpleasant experience again!“
