  1. Visiting Manilla, worth a visit

“Chris, the guys and the girls; whatever you're doing at XROADS, keep it up. Tip: If you're asking locals for directions here, they may recognise 'ex-roads' before 'cross-roads'.

This is one of the friendliest little bars I've been in for ages. The significance of this statement might be underestimated if you didn't know that I spend much of my time, travelling from city to city, looking for friendly little bars.

The staff are doing a great job, but it was the warm and welcoming punters on our side of the bar that made our evening one to remember. Congratulations, and thanks again.

Staying in Makati, our taxi ride to Xroads was a little long because we went too early and battled traffic. Our return ride was only P120 though, and we were at our hotel in no time at all. I advise going in after 9:00pm, get warmed up with a drink or several at Xroads - a game of pool or two - then head right next door to O Bar... nice!“
