Who We Are

Thank you for visiting Travel Gay Asia.

Travel Gay Asia aims to be the most comprehensive and up-to-date web-based gay Asia travel guide.

We want to make it easy to find thousands of the best gay bars, nightclubs, saunas, spas, beaches, shops and more, along with relevant travel information, interesting ideas and fabulous offers.

We also highlight some of the very best hotels and offers for gay travellers.

Travel Gay Asia is owned and operated by a gay team who have extensive first hand knowledge of gay Asia, supported by a network of local contacts throughout the region.

Our business is registered in the UK, but system development and editing is undertaken in Bangkok, Thailand.

Our Background

We launched our site as Travel Gay Thailand in February 2011. In July 2011 we expanded to become Travel Gay Asia with coverage of Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei. We commenced coverage of Indonesia in August, Cambodia in September, Malaysia in October, Shanghai in November and the Philippines in December 2011.

In 2012 we added Tokyo, Beijing, Luang Prabang (Laos) and Sydney. More recently we added Seoul, Osaka, Melbourne and Tasmania. We continued to expand our coverage in 2013 with even more destinations across gay Asia.

We also launched Travel Gay Europe and now cover a wide range of popular gay travel destinations including London, Brighton, Barcelona, Berlin, Gran Canaria, Sitges, Madrid, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Prague, Lisbon, Mykonos, Munich and Tel Aviv.  Most of the editing for Travel Gay Europe is undertaken in the UK.

Travel Gay Asia attracted 1.2 million visits in 2013, 1.8 million visits in 2014 and 2.5 million visits in 2015 and 3.3 million visits in 2016, making it the most popular and fastest growing dedicated gay Asia travel site on the web.
