One of the largest LGBT events in Portugal. The Lisbon Gay Pride (also known as Marcha do Orgulho LGBT) usually takes place in June each year at Jardim do Principe Real.

The Lisbon LGBTQ+ Pride March will once again color the streets of Lisbon on July 6th, 2024. The march begins at Avenida da Liberdade and continues to Terreiro do Paço, and everyone is invited to fill the streets of Lisbon. Lisbon Pride usually attracts over 70,000 people.

Lisbon Pride, also known (to be extra confusing!) as Arraial Lisboa Pride, has a rich history dating back to its inception in 1997. Initially organized by activist groups, the event aimed to raise awareness about LGBTQ+ rights and visibility in Portugal. Over the years, Lisbon Pride has evolved into a significant cultural and political event.

One of the key milestones in Lisbon Pride's history was the legalization of same-sex marriage in Portugal in 2010, a significant victory for LGBTQ+ rights advocates.
